Student Ministry at St. Paul Church
How does our mission to Know God, Serve Others, Grow Disciples translate to students?
At every age level, our first desire is for the people of St. Paul Church to Know the God who made them, invited them into the Kingdom through Jesus Christ the Son, and sustains them through all of life by the Holy Spirit.
One way this happens is through worship gatherings. Our worship gatherings begin as whole-family events, so that our school children are beginning to learn and develop the skills of worship.
Then, 15-20 minutes into worship, students up through 6th grade go to Transformation Zone, where they continue to learn about God as he is revealed in the Bible, through a variety of fun, participatory activites.
Junior High and High School students participate in our worship gatherings, and in other offerings geared specifically for them. Junior High students are invited to participate in Confirmation classes which teach students the big-picture story of the Bible and invite them to discover what they believe and why they believe it.
High School students have the ACTs gatherings on the third Sunday of each month from 6-8 p.m. This group is designed to unite our students, who come from many different High Schools. Even though they come from different places, they gather for fun, encouragement, support, Bible study and prayer. The ACTs ministry also periodically participates in community service opportunities and special events, like weekend retreats and short-term mission trips.
