St. Paul Evangelical United Church of Christ Women's Ministry is committed to glorify God by providing opportunities for women ministering to women through prayer, spiritual encouragement, service, and fellowship.
Our objectives are FAITH - FELLOWSHIP - FUN. It is our objective to provide faith building opportunities for women through: Christian Education, Service Opportunities and Social Activities.
The upcoming Women's Ministry Bible Study is based on the women of the Bible. We will be using the book "Women of the Covenant: Spiritual Wisdom from Women of the Bible". Each lesson studies a different woman from the Bible and is self-contained. This will be the only Bible Study offered during the coming year. We'll meet twice monthly from September (beginning September 15th) through November and then again in January and February, for a total of 10 meetings. We hope this schedule will better meet the needs of your busy lives and allow you to join us. Sign up has begun and the book cost will be $9. Our next Women's Retreat has been scheduled for April 9-11, 2010. "The Sweet Life Cafe" will be held at Camp Manitoqua in Frankfort, Illinois.
At "Sweet Life Cafe", you and all your friends will experience three Bible study sessions called "Food for the Heart", where we will learn that Jesus is the bread of life and appreciate what it means to be nourished by him - and share that nourishment with others. After each of those sessions is a flavor-themed activity session. Sprinkled inbetween are special times of praise and worship.
The cost is $142.35 per person which includes 2 nights lodging and 4 meals. To keep the event affordable, the Women's Ministry is subsidizing this event at $17.35 per person, for a cost to you of $125. Registration will begin in late February. An information video will be available during our coffee hours on January 17 and February 14.
