The Gospel, From the Beginning

Current Worship Series

The story of what God is doing in the world did not start with Jesus.

The story of what God is doing in the world through Jesus does not contradict how the story started.

In February and March, come join us on a journey back to the beginning of the story, to see how the gospel of Jesus is the completion of the story of Israel, and how the Good News is even bigger than the question "Where do you want to go when you die?"
2012 Lent Series: The Controversial Jesus

2,000 years ago, He came and walked among us. He was criticized for His revolutionary teachings and mocked for His radical claims. Now, 2,000 years later, His life and teachings are still fiercely debated. He is the most influential person to have ever lived. And to this day, He is still the most polarizing and controversial figure in history.

During Lent this year, we will use a series of messages from Erwin McManus titled “The Controversial Jesus” to consider more closely the controversial side of Jesus, and to see what it means for our lives today.

The series will start on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m., and will continue on the next 5 Wednesdays at 7:00. The first session will be preceded by an Ash Wednesday liturgy to begin the season of Lent.

St. Paul Church exists to encourage, empower, and invite people to live like Jesus.

We are the oldest church in Bloomingdale, but we are also still trying to learn how to live the life of the church in this day and culture.  We believe church is something followers of Jesus are, not a place where followers of Jesus go.

If you are interested in being on mission with Jesus and us here in the Bloomingdale area in 2012, we hope you’ll look around, feel free to come join us in a worship gathering, or get in touch with us to ask us any questions.  You can call us at the phone number on the bottom of this page, or you can email Pastor Brandon Woosley.

May God bless you as you seek and follow him.
